About

About the curriculum

Quantum Defense is a free, interactive course that takes anyone from "what is encryption?" to reading the ML-KEM standard, with no paywall, no account and no hype.

Why it exists

The move to post-quantum cryptography is the largest cryptographic migration in history, and it has deadlines. Most of the material about it is either a press release or a research paper. This curriculum sits in between: honest about what's known and what isn't, precise where precision matters, and hands-on throughout, because you understand a one-time signature much better after you've forged one.

About the creator

Kyeson Blake Utley

Kyeson Blake Utley created the Quantum Defense curriculum. A Texas security engineer, Kyeson came to cryptography through blockchain forensics: at SpookyGood, the firm Kyeson founded in 2020, the work was tracing stolen cryptocurrency for fraud victims, followed by a role as CTO of Justice Solutions Group.

Today Kyeson runs GhostKey Development, a Texas security engineering firm that helps companies migrate to post-quantum cryptography, build and audit cryptocurrency systems, and run full-scope penetration tests.
